WorkNotes Features

Find

Using the Category Outline you can save your notes by Category and SubCategory and make them easier to find. Additonally, you can create a heading that is descriptive of what the note contains and make the note easier to find. Using the Find Utility page you are able to find all notes within a beginning and ending date, any text within the headings, and any text within the note itself. The results are posted in the Dates and Headings Grid - clicking on any of the results in this Grid will open your note.

Print

You can print out the Category Outline and the Dates and Headings Grid for future reference if desired. There is also a Print button at the top right of the program to enable you to print the current note. Additonally you can go to the Utilities - Print page and identify the current note to go to the printer, all notes in the current Dates and Headings Grid - or even all notes that are in the program.

Categorize

You may create a new category very easily by pressing F2 while you are in the Category dropdown and just typing it in. The same is true with the SubCategory. By default the Category Outline is alphabetical - no need to do anything special to make it so. In the Dates and Headings Grid the notes are ordered by Dates and then alphabetically within the dates the Headings are alphabetical. By using your mouse and clicking on the Dates or the Headings titles you may reverse the order in which the dates and headings are displayed.

Access the Internet

In the main menu in the upper left of the program you may click on the globe. By default it will take you to Google where you may do further searches as you need. If you have a special website that you would prefer to go to, you may go to the Tools/Utilities page and add a new URL and identify it as the default Go To.

Develop Hot Keys

There are times and circumstances in which you may find it necessary to type something over and over again - rather tedious work. Instead of doing that, several keys are set aside for your use: the F5 - F10 keys. Going to the Tools/Utilities page will enable to type in anyting you would like to see in your notes. Additonally the F2 key is reserved for entering the current date and the F3 will enter the current time.
